We are always looking for postdocs and graduate students with enthusiasm in membrane protein research. The Li lab is well funded (currently by five grants) and equipped to support trainees for the entire time of their research programs.
Current research projects include the structure and function of integral membrane enzymes, transporters and adhesion proteins important in cardiovascular biology, immunology and hematology. Another focus is the development of cryo-EM and mass spec methods for membrane proteins.
We develop and use many different technologies to study membrane proteins, including cryo-EM, crystallography, biochemistry, cell biology and mass spectrometry. Postdoc applicants with related experiences or students with interests in these approaches are welcome to apply.
We also seek technicians experienced in basic cloning and protein purification techniques.
